I Am the Cross Why must I play this role? Of all You devise Hold me under the water And ask me to breathe? I still love You If I do not love You if I stop this loving of You Only by loving You Let the black light Burn me to cinders And life blow them away Death? Nothing, it’s welcome... I am the cross that carries Christ That bears His weight I am the cross that carries Christ I am the Light It's too late, I've turned them against me gained my freedom from love Not the Devil's, not the Divine

about

Exedra began as a collaboration between myself and lyricist, vocalist Jeremy Gluck. I was already recording some new material with
Mark Elliott when I decided to try working with the lyric's Jeremy had sent. Things rapidly developed from there after we began recording the song 'I Am The Cross'. The rest and a lot of other material was written and recorded at various points between April 2012 and March 2014.
The six tracks are a mixture of a previously planned single and album.
A lot of time and work went into it's creation even though it had to be recorded quickly in short bursts. It's been a roller coaster ride all the way.
